Damn - forgot the camera on this trip. Lots of nice winter woods and streams. This was a 2.2-mile round trip snowshoe walk to a small lake in the southern Adirondacks. Plenty of base in the woods, with 4-5" of fresh snow on top. Many streams and tributaries were open and running, and a skier we met expressed his frustration and wish for more snow and colder temperatures. It would have been a tough ski at this point with all the open water. But it was a very nice snowshoe walk.
