Snowshoeing in Glenville

Snowshoed for about an hour with friends in the extensive woods behind their house in Glenville. Used my older wooden showshoes, whose bindings I had upgraded, to see how well they fared breaking trail in the 12" of soft snow. The snow wasn't really deep enough to compare their deep-snow performance against the smaller aluminum models, but they did work much better than before with these new bindings. Much heavier than the Sherpas, though. Nice lunch afterwards.
